About me
As a kid I wrote and illustrated dozens of stories and stapled pieces of paper together to make books. It all seemed so simple then!
I’ve always wanted to be a writer.
In graduate school I taught composition and literature classes and discovered that I could use my writing skills to help students write better papers.
More recently I published two books, Artisan Cheese of the Pacific Northwest (2009) and Pacific Northwest Cheese: A History (2013). Although I did not illustrate these books, I did take a few of the photos. And yes, I love cheese that much!
Editing allows me to use my two passions, writing and teaching, to support other writers. When I’m not in front of a computer screen, I’m probably at the Oregon Coast with my senior dog, Maverick.
For more about my writing see my author page here.
